The Blues headed down to Westhaven Marina early on Thursday morning to take on Emirates Team New Zealand in a series of Dragon Boat races.
With the Super Bowl just a couple of days away, the Blues split into two teams - The Giants and The Patriots, to take on an Emirates Team New Zealand crew in a three race challenge.
Unfortunately Team New Zealand triumphed winning two of the three races, but the Patriots clinched the final race to ensure the Blues did not walk away empty handed.
Following the races, the Blues were invited back to the Emirates Team New Zealand headquarters in Wynyard Quarter for breakfast and a tour around their facilities and racing yachts.
A big thanks must go to Chris Stone from the Auckland Dragon Boating Association for his help in organising the event, as well as David Slyfield from Emirates Team New Zealand for hosting the team for breakfast.
